Found a stat about JFK files that caught me off guard

I was digging through the National Archives database last Tuesday and saw that over 99% of the JFK assassination records have been released since 1992, but about 3,000 files are still fully withheld. The Warren Commission's own memos mention contradictions in witness statements that never made the final report. Has anyone here actually requested specific records through FOIA and gotten anything useful back?

That 99% number has been debunked by archive staff actually.

Damn, hard disagree on that one. The 99% number might not be literally exact but the point still stands. Most of what's uploaded just sits there forever collecting digital dust. I've seen the actual stats from the team and they admit the vast majority of files never get a single view. Call it 95% or 97% if you want to be technical. The spirit of the argument is absolutely correct.

Yeah I've run into that too, best to check archive.org's own blog for the real numbers.
