Got roasted for my moon landing 'evidence' - here is what I learned
This guy on the forum pointed out that my 'lens flare' from Apollo 11 photos was actually just a smudge on the scan, and he linked me to a 2015 NASA document about their digital archiving process. I spent 3 hours fact-checking his claim and realized I had been parroting a debunked YouTube video from 2018. Has anyone else had one solid piece of criticism completely flip their stance on a long-held belief?

Yeah that's rough but honestly it takes guts to admit you were wrong like that.

@lopez.quinn I mean, is it though? Admitting you were wrong is just part of being a normal adult. Like, yeah it's not fun, but we're not talking about confessing to a crime here. It's more like saying you accidentally put salt instead of sugar in the coffee. People act like it's this huge character moment when really it's just basic decency. Unless they were wrong about something life changing, like picking the wrong kid to save from a fire or whatever. But for most stuff? It's just Tuesday.
