I looked up the original moon landing footage on a different site and the quality was way worse than I remembered

I always thought the NASA archives had the best version, but I found a copy on a university server in Oslo that was super grainy. It made me wonder if the clean versions we see now have been cleaned up a lot more than people say. Has anyone else found a source that made a famous event look totally different?

Check the original broadcast tapes.

Trying to find anything on those old tapes is like looking for a needle in a haystack when you're legally blind. I spent three hours last week squinting at a weather report from '87 because I thought a cloud looked weird. It was just a smudge on my screen. My detective skills begin and end with finding the TV remote.
