Just hit 50 consecutive days of moon photography and nobody noticed...

I've been tracking lunar phases with a basic DSLR and a 200mm lens from my parking lot in Des Moines. On day 45 I realized I was exactly 50 days into a project that started as a lark. Nobody in my life cares, not even my wife who I drag out to the cold every clear night. But what got me was the consistency - I missed zero days despite work, weather, and family obligations. The weird part is I started seeing patterns in how light falls on the craters at different angles, almost like a code I was cracking. Then I checked online forums and saw people debating whether the moon landings were faked, and I just laughed. Has anyone else hit an oddball milestone that proved something to yourself even if others dismissed it?

50 days of moon photos and nobody noticed because nobody cares about the moon.

Hold on, I think a LOT of people care about the moon. I bet more folks saw those photos than you realize.

Lol honestly though, the moon is kinda overrated. Like yeah it's big and bright but what's it actually done for us lately? Most people couldn't tell you the last time they really looked up and thought about it.
