Just realized my coworker thinks every news story is fake. How do you even debate that?

Seems like a lot of folks just pick sources that fit what they already believe. Makes real talk really hard. You can't win with that mindset.

Watched a buddy try to show his uncle a fact-check on his laptop about some political thing. The guy just waved his hand and said all the fact-checkers were paid off by the same people. It was exactly like what @terryw67 said, like talking to a wall. My buddy just shut the laptop and changed the subject to football.

Tried to chat with my neighbor about vaccines a while back. He just pulled up these conspiracy sites on his phone, lmao. Felt like talking to a brick wall no matter what I said. I even showed him pages from the health department and he called it all lies. Now I avoid those topics completely to keep the peace. Sometimes you just can't win with that mindset.
