My cousin swore the 'birds aren't real' thing was a joke, but a weird thing happened at the park
He kept telling me for months that the 'drone birds' conspiracy was just a funny meme to make people question things. Then last Tuesday, I was in Grant Park and saw a pigeon just standing totally still on a bench for like 15 minutes, not even blinking. I got close and it made this weird little whirring noise before it flew off. It was probably nothing, but it freaked me out enough to text my cousin. Has anyone else had a moment that made a silly theory feel weirdly possible?

My buddy's security camera caught a sparrow on his roof for three hours straight, zero movement. Honestly, the best thing you can do is just carry a small magnet in your pocket. If it's a drone, it'll mess with the gears and you'll hear a different sound. Tried it once and the thing made a high-pitched beep before it took off.

Wait, wouldn't a magnet mess with the camera and stuff too? The_lee's story is wild, but I heard those security cameras can glitch and freeze the image sometimes.

Actually, magnets messing with cameras is a different thing... that's about the recording device, not the bird. The story about the sparrow is just a camera glitch, happens all the time. Makes more sense than a tiny magnet stopping a whole drone.
