My neighbor's paranoia about the mailman made me lose my package and my cool

Last Tuesday in Phoenix, our mailman forgot to deliver my monthly meds, and my neighbor swore it was part of a government tracking scheme, so he confronted the guy and scared him off for good. Now I'm waiting 3 extra days for a refill, and somehow I'm the one who looks crazy for just wanting my thyroid pills. Has anyone else had a neighbor turn a simple delivery slip into a full-blown surveillance operation?
