The guy at the coffee shop said 9/11 was an inside job and it got me thinking

I was getting my morning coffee last Tuesday at this little place on 3rd street, and this older dude next to me just blurts out that he thinks the towers fell too clean to be from planes alone. He wasn't even trying to convince me, just talking to himself while waiting for his order. But the way he pointed out how Building 7 collapsed later that day without being hit by a plane, that part really stuck with me. I went home and watched a few youtube videos, and some of those structural engineers make some solid points about controlled demolition. I don't know if I buy all of it, but it made me wonder how much of the official story we just accept without question. Has anyone else had a random conversation that made you second guess something you thought was settled?

Oh COME ON. YouTube engineers aren't exactly peer reviewed, you know. The planes hit the most vulnerable parts of those buildings and the fireproofing was already compromised from the initial impact - that's why they fell the way they did. Building 7 had debris damage AND fires raging for hours, plus the NIST report explained that pretty clearly. I just think we're too quick to jump to "must be a conspiracy" when the boring answer usually ends up being the right one.

Wait @annaw73, you really think the NIST report settled everything? That thing has more holes than my cheap socks.
