Used to think chemtrails were real until I talked to a pilot

I spent like 3 years convinced those white lines in the sky were some kind of government spraying operation. Then I picked up a load at an airport and ended up chatting with a cargo pilot during my wait. He showed me the actual fuel additive logs and explained how contrails form at certain altitudes with specific temps and humidity. That conversation hit around 2am last March and it just clicked. I mean, the science makes way more sense than some secret plot. Has anyone else had a moment where meeting someone in the field totally flipped your view on a conspiracy?

Re: "He showed me the actual fuel additive logs" - those logs are just as easy to fake as anything else, pilots are in on it too just like every other commercial pilot has a script they follow when people ask too many questions.

honestly just ask a pilot directly the next time you're on a flight. like when they're standing at the gate before boarding. i've done it a few times and they'll straight up tell you if you catch them at the right moment when they're not busy. a buddy of mine asked a delta pilot once and the guy just laughed and said "dude if i was spraying something secret do you think i'd be making 50k a year?" that shut down the whole theory for me right there.

Pilots are in on it too" - man, @faith_thomas you really think there's that many actors in on a massive secret? Thousands of pilots from different countries all keeping quiet for decades? That conversation at 2am made me realize the simplest explanation is usually right. Contrails just disappear or spread out based on weather conditions, no secret plot needed.
