I haul a 12,000 lb mini excavator from my yard in Modesto up to job sites near Sacramento, and I got talked into a swivel pintle hitch by a counter guy who said it would cut the lag on tight turns. Six weeks later the slop in the swivel had chewed the ring on my trailer like a file, and I had to pay $220 to get the ring cut off and rewelded. Is the slop just normal on the swivel units, or was this one a real dud?
