Dropped $340 on a beavertail ramp and it paid for itself in one weekend, then cracked on the next job
Bought a used 20 foot beavertail ramp for $340 off a guy in Mesquite because my old setup was killing me on a mini excavator load. First job went smooth, saved me maybe two hours of messing with blocks and planks. Second job out by Forney, the hinge plate cracked right where it bolts to the trailer frame, and I had a 9,000 lb machine sitting half loaded on a busy county road. Got it welded for $75, but now I'm second guessing the cheap route. Anyone running a fold down ramp that actually holds up, or am I stuck paying new prices?
