A project manager in Phoenix told me his team cut rework by 40% after switching to a new field reporting app.

He said the old paper checklists were getting lost and causing mistakes, but now with photos and notes tagged to specific locations on the digital floor plan, everyone is on the same page instantly, so what's the biggest time waster your team has fixed with a simple tech change?

Forty percent less rework is a huge jump. Paper checklists getting lost sounds like a total nightmare, I can't believe they put up with that for so long. Switching to a system where you can pin photos right to a floor plan is such a simple idea but it makes perfect sense. My old job wasted hours every week just trying to find the latest version of a spreadsheet in different email chains.

Used to be a big paper checklist guy myself, thought digital was just extra steps. Seeing a forty percent drop in rework is impossible to argue with though. The photo pinning thing just shows how much time we waste on bad systems.

Yeah, the photo thing reminds me of a site I was on where they'd just scribble notes on printed blueprints. You'd get this coffee-stained sheet with "pipe here??" written in the margin, and good luck figuring out which pipe they meant. Total guesswork every time.
