Finally got drone mapping to work after 4 tries on a job outside Austin

I kept getting blurry ortho photos until I talked to a surveyor who told me to fly lower and overlap more. Cut my error margin from 3 feet to under 6 inches on a commercial lot. Anyone else struggle with drone settings at first?

Same here man. That overlap trick is a game changer, I was flying 70% overlap before and it was a nightmare.

70 percent overlap? I've seen guys run way higher than that on older setups and they still worked fine. Maybe you got a bad batch of panels or something. A few percent difference in overlap isn't going to fry your house or ruin your inverter unless you're already pushing the limits hard.
