Found out my project management software was double counting labor hours for 8 months

I was looking through some old reports last week and noticed the numbers didn't add up. Turns out the API integration between our time clock and the PM platform was duplicating every entry. It was a simple setting I missed during the setup back in January. Has anyone else caught their software making quiet mistakes like this?

8 months of double counting? That's not a glitch, that's your software running a little extra side hustle for itself. Hope it at least took you out to dinner first.

I guess eight months counts as a long con for a piece of software. At that point it's not even a glitch, it's a committed relationship with your financial records. Did it at least send you a breakup email when you caught it?
