Had a talk with a GC in Austin who swears paper blueprints are still faster than iPads on site

Paper never lags or runs out of battery, but good luck searching through 500 sheets for one detail.

Nah, I actually see it the opposite way. When you have 500 sheets of paper, flipping through them is way faster than scrolling through a PDF on a slow device. Your eyes can scan a whole page at once, while on a screen you're stuck squinting at one small section. Plus, paper lets you spread everything out on a desk and see the big picture at a glance. Digital search is great if you know the exact word you're looking for, but sometimes you need to see the context around a detail to make sense of it. A stack of paper gives you that context instantly without fighting a search algorithm.

It's the same with my mechanic preferring a paper manual over a phone screen, some things just stick.
