Overheard a project manager say technology is making us lazy on site
I was grabbing coffee before a walkthrough last Wednesday and heard this older PM tell his apprentice that tablets and drones are creating blind spots for younger crews. He said we rely on the software to catch mistakes instead of looking at the job ourselves. Has anyone else noticed new tech hiding problems instead of fixing them?

Has he seen how often guys on site just trust the tablet's level reading instead of grabbing a physical level to double check? I've had coworkers ask why I still carry a real tape measure when we all have laser measures on our phones. There's something to be said for trusting your own eyes over a screen.

My grandfather lost a whole foundation wall in '78 cause his transit was 3/16 off, so I never trust screens.
