Picked Procore over PlanGrid for our crew in Phoenix. Regretting it.

Had to choose between Procore and PlanGrid for managing our field reports. Went with Procore because the sales guy was persistent. Now our guys hate the app interface, takes too many taps to log a simple punch item. Anyone else stuck with a platform that your crew can't stand?

That "muscle memory" thing is kinda missing the point though... I've been on sites where the extra taps add up fast when you're doing 30+ punch items a day. It's not about getting used to it, it's about the app getting in the way of the work.

Calling it "hate" feels a little dramatic honestly. Yeah the app takes a few extra taps but that's kinda standard for any construction software I've used. Your guys probably just got comfortable with PlanGrid and now they have to adjust their muscle memory. Give it a month and they'll stop complaining.

I feel like "muscle memory" is kinda underselling it though. When a tool hides basic stuff like markups behind extra menus it's not just habit, it's bad design. Your crews shouldn't have to relearn how to do their actual job just to use software.
