Pro tip: That fancy drone mapping software ain't worth a damn if your site crew still uses string lines for layout
Watched a foreman in Charlotte waste 3 hours arguing with a digital model last Tuesday when the old-timer just pulled a tape and had it marked in 20 minutes, so why are we still pretending the tech replaces the basics?

Nah man that's the thing right there. I watched a crew spend half a day fighting with a tablet on a site in Raleigh because the drone model was 6 inches off on a grade break, but the guy with the string line had it dialed in before lunch. The tech is great for big picture stuff and presentations to the client, but when you need to actually put stakes in the ground the basics still work better every time. Its almost like we forgot that these tools are supposed to help us, not replace the experience thats been working for decades lol.
