Rant: I ran our daily logs on paper forms and on the tablet app for 3 weeks, and the paper lost badly
Two supers, same 14 crews, same job site off Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. For 3 weeks one crew logged on the old carbon forms and the other used the app on a shared tablet. The paper logs had 11 entries with no timestamp and 4 that were basically unreadable after a rain day. The tablet logs had every entry time stamped and 2 photos per issue. My PM pulled the paper stack for a claim and spent 40 minutes just trying to match dates. With the app it took 5 minutes. I'm not saying paper never works, but has anyone gone back to forms after trying digital? I want to hear the other side before I pitch this to the owner.
