Rethinking that fancy project management software after a 3 day delay on a site in Nashville

Everyone in our firm was pushing for this expensive cloud platform for scheduling and tracking. I tried going old school with a shared spreadsheet and a daily 10 minute huddle on site instead. It saved us $500 a month and our crew actually communicated better face to face. Has anyone else found that simpler tools worked better than the big tech solutions?

Wait, $500 a month? That's more than my car payment. What software costs that much just for scheduling a single job site.

Dump that overpriced junk and stick with the spreadsheet. I've seen crews waste more time logging into fancy apps than actually talking to each other. The Nashville job will run smoother without it.

Did those crews actually finish on time or what happened?
