So I finally let a new intern run the drone for a site walkthrough

I figured it was simple enough, but the 3D model it made from the flight had this weird, perfect line showing exactly where the foundation pour was a half-inch out of spec. My old way of checking with a laser and a notebook would have missed that. Anyone have a go-to drone model that's idiot-proof for handing off to new guys?

That perfect line showing the pour being off is wild. My old boss would have killed for that kind of catch on a job.

Oh man, @drewgonzalez, that reminds me of a concrete crew I saw once where the line was so bad you could see it from the street. The foreman made them grind the whole section down before the boss showed up. They were out there with hand grinders until midnight. Pretty sure that crew still has nightmares about it.

Tech catches what eyes miss every time. Saw a drone pick up a drainage slope that was backwards on a pad site. Plans said one thing, the model showed the water pooling against the building. Crew had to bust out the core drill and fix it before the slab went down. That kind of detail is just free money saved. Makes you wonder what else we've been walking past for years.
