That week our cloud-based scheduling app went down right before a big pour
Last Tuesday, our whole crew showed up at the site ready to go, but the app we use for daily tasks and concrete tickets just wouldn't load. It was down for almost 4 hours. We had to call the batch plant directly and scribble everything on paper, which caused a huge mix-up with the slump test specs. The foreman had the updated sheet on his phone, but couldn't pull it up. It made me realize how much we rely on one piece of software with no backup plan. Has anyone else set up a simple offline checklist for when the tech inevitably fails?

That "scribble everything on paper" part is exactly why my dentist's office still has a paper appointment book in the back room.

Ever have them mess up your appointment with that book? Seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

How do they even keep track of cancellations? I'd be so worried my slot would just get lost in the shuffle. That old-school system sounds stressful for everyone.
