TIL I was dead wrong about that construction management app my PM pushed on us

Honestly, when my PM said we should switch to Procore for our job sites around Austin, I thought it was just another tool that would slow us down. I figured it'd be more screen time and less actual work. But after using it for about 3 weeks on the Travis Heights project, I actually started seeing the punch lists update in real time without me having to chase anyone down. Has anyone else had a similar flip where you hated a tech change at first but it ended up saving you headaches?

Oh man, you described exactly what happened to me with PlanGrid on a remodel project. Was so annoyed at first because I hate learning new stuff when I'm already swamped. But after a week I noticed I stopped getting those annoying 7am calls asking "what's the status on that window trim?" because the subs were actually updating their progress photos in the app. The real game changer was when we had a drywall issue and I could just pull up the exact photo from three weeks ago instead of digging through my truck for paper reports. It's funny how the stuff you resist the hardest sometimes turns into the thing that saves your sanity.

I mean, is it really that serious? Yeah it's annoying getting calls at 7am but you could just tell them to text you instead.

The "saves your sanity" part got me. I used to be team paper all the way, but you're right.
