3 years ago I accidentally sprayed purple toner all over a bride's white dress 2 hours before her wedding and somehow fixed it with a paper towel and hairspray

Last month I had a client bring in a photo of pink hair from Pinterest but when I mixed the color I forgot to add the correct ratio of developer and ended up with neon orange instead, has anyone else had a color mix disaster like that?

Honestly, that neon orange situation is a rite of passage for any colorist. I did something similar a few years back where I mixed a deep burgundy but grabbed a 40 volume developer by mistake and ended up with this screaming magenta. I had to wash it out immediately with dish soap to strip some of the pigment, then dry it and do a heavy toner in a cool brown to cancel out the warmth. It wasn't perfect but it saved the appointment enough that the client was happy. Paper towel and hairspray sounds wild though, that bride must have been freaking out.

My neighbor once used purple toner on her own hair and ended up looking like Grimace for a week.

Whoa, dish soap and hairspray? That's wild.
