Dropped $340 on a hooded color processor and it paid for itself in 6 weeks
I was doing all my color mixing by hand with a whisk and a bowl like it was 2009 and my arms were dying by the third highlight client of the day. Bought a hooded processor on a whim at the supply house in Austin after the rep let me try it on a full foil and I kid you not, my back was not screaming by noon for the first time in months. The real win was time. I cut about 20 minutes off each color service because I am not standing there babysitting the bowl, so I just booked that open slot and it covers the machine. My biz partner thinks it is overkill for a two chair studio but she changed her tune when I took a walk in client at 3pm and still left on time. The one catch is cleanup, those little mixing cups are a pain and I go through way more of them now. Anyone running one of these in a small space, how do you deal with the cup waste without losing your mind?
