Found a salon in Austin that finally gets curly hair right

I stopped by a small shop off South Congress last week after three bad cuts elsewhere. The stylist there spent 20 minutes just looking at my curl pattern before touching anything, then dry cut it in under 40. Has anyone else had luck with dry cutting over wet, or is that just a unicorn thing?
