Hit 100 foil highlights in under 2 hours last week

Been doing hair for 6 years and finally broke my personal record for a full head of foils in 1 hour 45 minutes. Anyone else track their timing like that or am I just a nerd about it?

Started timing my foils after a big rush before the holidays last year. Hit 92 in a little under two hours which felt pretty good. What really helped was pre-cutting all my foils and having my toner ready to go before I even started the sectioning. Also switched to a smaller tail comb for tighter sections and that alone probably saved me 10 minutes. You're not a nerd for tracking it, it's just smart business to know your rhythm.

Have you factored in how much time you're spending just repositioning yourself and your chair between sections? I realized I was wasting almost a full minute every few foils because I kept having to twist and reach weird angles, so I started keeping my chair at a specific height and rotating the client's head instead of moving around them. That one change alone cut my foil time by like 15 percent without me even trying to go faster.
