Hit 30 straight days of carpal tunnel flare-ups and I finally got the wrist brace out of my drawer
I do 8 to 10 blowouts a week at my chair in Boise and around day 30 of ignoring the tingling in my right hand I could barely hold my round brush. My doctor pointed out the wrist angle I use when I section hair near the crown, and switching to a lighter dryer helped more than the brace did, though your mileage may vary. Any of you dealing with numbness after years behind the chair, and what actually worked for you?
Bought a cheap vertical mouse a few years back after my hand kept going numb during long design sessions, and it felt weird as hell for about a week. Stuck with it though, and the tingling in my fingers calmed down a lot. Not the same as sectioning hair, but the wrist angle thing seems to be the common thread with this stuff.
