I compared a $20 drugstore shampoo with a $45 salon brand and found a clear winner

Last month I picked up a cheap shampoo from CVS for my apartment washing station, thinking it wouldn't matter much for a quick rinse. Well, after using the salon brand I normally buy on three clients this week, the drugstore stuff left their hair feeling dry and tangled every time. Has anyone else noticed a big difference between budget and professional shampoos, or am I just being picky?

Yeah I get what you're saying, I've had the exact same problem before. Those cheap shampoos really don't clean the same way, they just leave a weird coating or something. It's definitely not you being picky, the ingredients in salon brands are just way different.

Oh yeah that "weird coating" thing drives me crazy. I figured out a trick though - you gotta use a clarifying shampoo once a week to strip all that junk off. The cheap stuff uses waxes and fillers to make your hair feel silky at the store but it just builds up. I switched to a sulfate free shampoo with a simple ingredient list and it made a huge difference. Also try rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar every couple weeks, it cuts through that leftover gunk like nothing else.

Oh wow, that apple cider vinegar tip is genius, I never thought of using it that way.
