I finally tried that viral color remover trend and it turned my client's hair into a patchy mess
So last Tuesday a client comes in with box dye black hair and wants to go platinum in one visit. I told her it would take multiple sessions, but she showed me some TikTok trend using a color remover packet mixed with shampoo. I was skeptical but she talked me into trying it on a test strand. Big mistake. The strand turned this weird orange and felt like straw. I had to tell her we'd need to go slow, and she wasn't happy. Has anyone else had a client push a trend that totally backfired?
