Just realized a $4 spray bottle beats my $60 steamer for setting curls
Had a bride trial last week in Sacramento and her hair would not hold a curl with my usual hot tools. On a whim I filled a cheap spray bottle with plain water and a drop of setting lotion, then did a wet set with pin curls. Next morning the curls were still there and she said they felt softer than the last time she got styled. I still use the steamer for smoothing, but for hold that little bottle did more work. Anyone else find cheap tools outdoing the expensive ones for a job?
