My regular client said my blowout technique was too old school
She pulled up a TikTok of some stylist doing a twist-and-roll method on 2B hair and asked if I could try it. Tried it on my lunch break and it actually cut my drying time by 10 minutes. Has anyone else had clients teach them new tricks from social media?

Honestly, I've been there too. One of my nail clients showed me a gel polish curing trick from Instagram that cut my application time in half. It felt weird at first but now I use it every day. It's humbling when a client teaches you something but honestly it keeps us fresh.

Keeps you humble too when you realize learning never stops no matter how long you've done something.

Instagram has some gems if you dig past the nonsense. I picked up a tip from a bridal makeup artist about using a tiny bit of setting spray on a fan brush before powder, and it stops creasing completely. Little tricks from others can definitely keep your routine fresh and save time.
