Makes total sense. A consult turns a vague idea into a clear plan, which is good for everyone. It sets real expectations about cost and how often you need to come back, so there are no surprises later. That upfront chat probably stops a lot of last minute changes and unhappy clients. It just seems like smart business to add that step.

Yeah, it saves so much time. I always do a quick consult even for regular clients, because what they want can change between visits. It just avoids that awkward "oh, I actually meant..." moment halfway through.

That 60% number sounds about right from what I've seen. My stylist always books a separate consult slot, even for a root touch-up. People get nervous about color going wrong, and a quick chat about upkeep or skin tone makes a huge difference. It probably saves her time fixing bad jobs later, too.
