Showerthought: I saw my niece's prom photos from this year and last year side by side.

Her hair color was the same shade, but the cut and style from my salon this spring gave her a whole new confidence. Has anyone else had a client where just changing the shape made a bigger impact than the color?

Hold up, I gotta disagree hard on this one. Color is way more powerful than a cut any day. A fresh color literally changes how the light hits your face, it can make your eyes pop or your skin glow in a way no haircut ever could. I've seen people walk out with the same boring shape but a killer red or a perfect blonde and they're a whole new person. A cut just trims what's already there, but color? That's actual transformation. The right shade can make someone look ten years younger or totally reinvent their style from the ground up.

Remember how @reesel50 said that? My friend got a pixie cut and it totally changed her vibe.

Absolutely, the right cut is everything sometimes. It frames the face and changes how someone carries themselves completely. I've seen clients light up after a shape change more than after a color refresh. It's like the cut is the foundation, and when it's right, everything else just falls into place. That confidence boost is the best part of the job.
