Stopped by a salon in Portland and saw they had a dedicated 'color consultation' station
It was a small desk with a ring light and a mirror, separate from the shampoo bowls. Has anyone set up something similar to help clients feel more comfortable discussing major changes?

Ever feel like you need a private booth just to decide what to order for lunch... let alone a whole new hair color?

That dedicated color consultation station is such a good idea. It makes that big talk feel private and important, not just something you yell over the shampoo bowls. A lot of clients get nervous about a major change, and having a quiet spot just for talking would totally help them open up. It shows you really care about their input before any cutting or dye even starts. That kind of setup builds so much trust. I love seeing salons put real thought into the client experience like that.

Consider how that private station @lee_reed mentioned also helps the stylist focus better. Without all the salon noise, they can really listen to what the client wants and catch any small worries they might have. That means fewer mix-ups and happier clients walking out.
