Tried a two-step toner application and it looked like a zebra on my first client

I thought layering a blue toner over a purple one would cancel out the brass faster, but instead I got these dark streaks that took 45 minutes to fix with a clarifying treatment. Has anyone else had a toner react weird on porous hair like that?

Right? I used to think more toner was better too, but that's a hard lesson.

Lol honestly a clarifying treatment saved my hair too after I messed up toner. It's wild how one small oops turns into a whole session at the sink. Totally worth it to get back to a clean slate though.
