Vent: Bought a fancy hair dryer that died in 3 months

Saw this $300 dryer all over Instagram and grabbed one. Motor stopped working during a client's blowout last Tuesday. Anyone else get burned by expensive gear that looks good but fails fast?

My friend spent $250 on one of those cloud hair dryers with the weird attachment. She used it twice and the motor started making this grinding noise, then it just stopped blowing hot air completely. The company wanted her to pay $45 to ship it back for warranty service. She just threw it in the trash and went back to her old $60 one from Target. Honestly those Instagram ads are really good at making cheap junk look premium.

Did she ever try one of those "viral" ice rollers for your face? I bought one after seeing it all over my feed... used it three times and the gel inside started leaking out all over my bathroom counter. Looked like I was crying frozen tears or something. My sister had the same thing happen with hers too. It's wild how many of these trendy gadgets are just rebranded stuff from China with a fancy box and a higher price tag.
