Vent: tried that 5 minute foil wrap for bleach processing and it beat my 25 minute timers
I used to set a timer for 25 minutes and just hope the lift was even, and half the time the ends would go pale while the roots stayed orange. Last month a stylist from my salon in Austin showed me wrapping each section in foil right after applying the bleach and checking it at 5 minute marks instead. I tried it on three clients and the lift came out way more even, no more racing to rinse one side before the other. The foil holds the heat in so it processes faster, but it also keeps the product from drying out. I still use my timer, just in smaller chunks now. Has anyone else switched to shorter check ins instead of one big timer, and did it mess with your scheduling?
