Bottom-sheet forts beat top-sheet forts, and here's why after 4 years

I used to stack top sheets and quilts like everyone else, but ever since I started anchoring the bottom sheet over the couch arms last spring, my reading nook stays dark and draft-free for 3 hours instead of collapsing in 20 minutes, so has anyone else tried flipping their fort base on purpose?
