Finally got the fort lighting right after 3 tries

I always thought those little battery powered fairy lights were a gimmick for blanket forts, but I tried a cheap string from the dollar store last weekend and it made the whole space feel magical. My cat even curled up under the blanket with me for an hour, which never happens. Anyone else find a simple trick that totally changed their fort game?

My friend tried hanging a mini camping lantern from the top of her fort and said it gave off this warm, soft glow that made it feel like a real little room. She fell asleep in there and woke up three hours later, haha.

Oh @susan649 that sounds exactly like my fort days. I used a small battery-powered fairy light string once, taped it along the ceiling of my blanket fort, and it turned the whole space into this cozy little cave. I curled up with a book and next thing I knew it was dark outside and I'd been asleep for two hours. There's just something about that warm light and tight space that makes you feel super safe and relaxed. Plus crawling out all groggy and confused is kind of funny in hindsight.
