Heard someone say forts are for kids, now I'm mad about it at 31

I was at my sister's place last Sunday helping her kids build a pillow castle and her neighbor walks in, says 'cute, too bad you outgrew those.' I just stared at her. I've been building forts since I was 7 and I'm 31 now, best one I ever made was last winter when the power went out for 6 hours. I stacked every couch cushion plus three quilts and a dining table chair for the roof, slept better than my actual bed. Adults need forts too, it's like a weighted blanket you can crawl inside. Anyone else get weird looks from people when they mention building one on purpose?
