That $40 weighted blanket I bought made my fort naps worse

I figured a weighted blanket would be the ultimate fort upgrade, but mine traps heat like crazy and I woke up sweating at 2am. Ended up shoving it under the couch cushions and going back to my old fleece throw. Anyone else have a blanket that looked cozy but totally lied?

and honestly this is just how shopping works now. everything looks good in the ad photos but the second you actually try to use it, you find out they cut corners. like my sister bought those cute apartment plants that are supposed to be low maintenance and they all died in like two weeks because the pots had no drainage holes. companies just slap a trendy look on stuff and hope you don't notice the details are garbage. that blanket probably looked amazing in the promo pic too.
