Thrift store fort blanket gamble changed my whole setup
Picked up a heavy velvet curtain panel at a Goodwill in Akron for $6 and it turned out to be the best anchor weight I've ever used. My old setup used two flat sheets and a comforter, but the velvet drapes over the couch edge without sliding off, even when I shift around. That one find let me drop the number of chairs I need from three to two, which opens up floor space for my reading pillow. The catch is velvet holds heat like crazy, so I only bust it out when temps drop below 50 now. Anyone else have a random secondhand fabric that outworks their real blankets for fort duty?
