French press to pour over, took me 2 years to switch back
I bought a nice pour over setup back in 2021 because everyone online swore it was the only way to taste the bean. Spent about $60 on the kettle and dripper. For 2 years I fought with it, fussing over pour speed and water temp, and honestly my coffee got worse. Last month I dug out my old French press from the back of the cabinet. Same beans, same grind, just threw the water in and waited 4 minutes. Tastes better, less cleanup, no thinking required. Has anyone else gone backward to a simpler method and felt stupid for ever leaving?
