Had to pick between a French press and an Aeropress last month for my small apartment kitchen

I went with the Aeropress because I read it was easier to clean, and honestly after 30 days I haven't regretted it once, has anyone else found that the French press cleanup hassle is overblown though?

Did you ever try cleaning a French press? I used to think people were just lazy about it, but after using my friend's once, I totally get why you went with the Aeropress. That metal mesh is a pain.
