Just realized I hit 1000 cups brewed with my Aeropress this morning

I was cleaning my Aeropress after my morning coffee and counted the filters in the box. I've gone through exactly 1000 filters since I bought the thing at a shop in Portland back in 2020. That's like 3 years of coffee from one little plastic tube, haha. Has anyone else kept count of how many brews you've gotten out of a single gadget?

My buddy Marcus from down the street hit 2,000 on his V60 last month and he still uses the same ceramic dripper he bought at a thrift store for like 2 dollars. He keeps a little tally mark on the back of his pantry door every morning (which honestly sounds a bit much but hey, whatever works). He told me he almost cried when the handle on his kettle broke at brew 1,987, had to use a saucepan for a week while the new one shipped. I guess some people just get attached to their gear, even if it's just a cheap plastic cone or a little tube like your Aeropress. That's a solid run for a gadget that probably cost you what, 30 bucks?
