PSA: Check your grinder burrs if your coffee tastes sour

I was getting sour shots for two weeks straight from my Rancilio Silvia. Tried everything. Changed beans, water temp, grind size. Finally pulled the grinder apart and found the burrs were dull on one side. Replaced them with new ones from Seattle Coffee Gear and the difference was immediate. Has anyone else had a grinder go bad slowly like that without noticing?

I heard James Hoffmann mention once that dull burrs can cause sour shots without any weird sounds.

Exactly this happened with my Baratza Encore. Took me a month of frustration before I realized the burrs were just worn out. Swapped them and it was like a whole new grinder. You check your burrs regularly now?
