6 months between my cluttered disaster desk and a plant-filled corner setup

Started working from home in March and my desk was just a pile of cables, old receipts, and a monitor on a stack of books. Looked at a picture from then vs today and the difference is wild. I swapped out the books for a $20 monitor riser from IKEA, added a snake plant, and got one of those cable trays that stick under the desk. Now I actually want to sit here instead of avoiding it. Anyone else have a moment where they looked back at old pics and cringed?

Yeah @the_amy, I had the same stack of books thing going for months. Cable tray was a game changer for me too, just having that clutter out of sight made the whole desk feel different.

Haven't we all MacGyvered some janky setup at some point? It's like the natural instinct to use whatever's around to get the job done, even if it looks a little sketchy. Stack of books beats a crushed soda can for stability at least.
