Coworker laughed at my $8 lamp diffuser, then copied it a month later
I thought a cheap clip-on parchment shade was pointless until I stopped getting glare headaches during 6pm calls in my Denver apartment. Now half my floor has one, so what small desk thing did you write off too soon?
Cheap plastic footrest from IKEA that I bought when my legs kept falling asleep at my desk. My old office mate called it a waste of twelve bucks, then went out and got the same one about six weeks later. Something about keeping your feet up just fixes your whole sitting position without you even noticing until you try it. Same deal with a little clip fan pointed at my keyboard, people act like you're being extra until their hands get sweaty in July. It's always the tiny stuff nobody wants to admit actually works. Half the good ideas on my floor started as something someone else made fun of first.
