Hit 100 hours without looking at my phone during work sessions
I started keeping a timer on my desk just to see how long I could go without touching my phone while I'm actually working. I set it up about 4 months ago, nothing fancy just a little manual clicker I got from the dollar store. Last week I hit 100 total hours of uninterrupted desk time which honestly shocked me. I work from home 3 days a week as a property manager so I'm always tempted to check emails or scroll during breaks. Having that clicker sitting next to my monitor makes me think twice before grabbing my phone. It's not about being perfect every day but seeing the number go up keeps me honest. Anyone else use a physical timer or clicker to stay off their phone? Does it help you too?

Call bullshit on the whole thing honestly. A clicker on your desk doesn't stop you from grabbing your phone. You do that yourself or you don't. Saw a guy at my last job track his "focus time" with a timer and he'd reset it every time he checked Instagram. Cheated the system constantly. The number on the clicker means nothing if you're not honest about resetting it.

$2.95 at the dollar store in my town actually, I got the same kind of clicker. @jamesroberts I feel you on the honesty thing but for me it's different because I reset it every single time I touch my phone even if it's just to check the time. Hit 85 hours myself before I messed up and forgot to reset it after a 20 minute email scroll session. That clicker sitting there makes it way harder to lie to myself about how much real desk time I'm actually putting in.
